MIIT: China's IC output declines by 14.8% in Q1 2023

(JW Insights) May 9 -- China’s IC production contracted 14.8% year-on-year to 72.2 billion units in the first quarter, while mobile phone output fell 7% to 331 million units, Xinhua reported on May 7, citing data from Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT)

China's electronic information manufacturing maintained steady expansion in March, with the added value of major firms in the sector up 1.2% year-on-year.

From January to March, the added value of major electronic information manufacturing companies went down 1.1% year-on-year. This decline narrowed from a 2.6-percent fall in the January-February period, according to MIIT.
