TCL CSOT (TCL华星), China’s leading semiconductor display provider, held a ceremony to celebrate its first shipment to Samsung on March 23 in its Indian company based in Tirupati of Andhra Pradesh.

The company said that CSOT India has completed three production lines with a monthly production capacity of 1.2 million pieces. The entire process including bonding, fitting, and assembly will be put into production by May 2022 after the 4th and 5th lines move in. The monthly production capacity will reach 2 million pieces.

These TCL CSOT’s facilities have integrated the production of large-size TV screens and small-size mobile terminal display screens. They cover a total area of 280,000 square meters in its two construction phases. The first phase has 11 production lines with an investment of RMB1.53 billion ($240 million).

This project also represents India's first LCD panel module house covering the whole processes from bonding to assembly. This project can provide LCD module, a key component, to local mobile phone and TV manufacturers in India. According to TCL CSOT, the Indian business is part of its globalization strategy.

Established in 2009 and headquartered in Shenzhen, TCL CSOT (TCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology) focuses on advanced display technologies such as Mini-LED, Micro-LED, OLED, and Ink Jet Printing. It has four manufacturing centers in Shenzhen, Wuhan, Huizhou and India.
