2021 was not an easy year for the smartphone market. With chip shortages and recurrences of COVID-19, the shipments were significantly below expectations for the past few quarters. However, 5G smartphones were able to thrive and grow, along with the rollout of 5G stations in many countries. Would 5G smartphone be able to carry on the success in 2022? ijiwei Talk invited Yiwen Wu, a senior analyst at Strategy Analytics, to share the latest forecasts of smartphone markets.
